INFINITI is seeking the region’s brightest engineering talent for the 2019 edition of the INFINITI Engineering Academy. The closing date of applications is October 25.
The programme, the only one of its kind in the world, aims to enhance the skills of youngsters looking to go into automotive and motorsport engineering. It provides a unique opportunity for students to gain experience in both the premium automotive and Formula 1 industries, with a six-month placement at the INFINITI Technical Centre Europe and a further six months at Renault F1 Team.
Markus Leithe, Managing Director, INFINITI Middle East, says: “Students will be chosen from a set of tasks that will assess their current knowledge of the technicalities of the automotive sector, as well as their soft skills.”
The academy will select one engineering student from the Middle East currently studying in a local or regional university to join the programme alongside six winners from other regions.
After a series of tests throughout the application process, 10 finalists will be shortlisted to participate in the final assessment event, which will take place in Abu Dhabi at Al Masaood Automobiles and at Yas Marina Circuit on November 27 and 28, ahead of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019.
