SUV Debuts in New York

The new Venue, from Hyundai, described as the company’s smallest, most affordable SUV, took centre stage at the New York Motor Show.

The SUV is powered by a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder engine paired with either a six-speed manual or intelligent variable transmission. It boasts 121hp and the company predicts it will achieve up to 33mpg.

The Venue, which goes on sale later this year, is packed with interior features, including an eight-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, BlueLink with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant integration, dual USB charging ports, a rearview monitor, heated front seats and side mirrors, as well as various drive modes. It can also be equipped with forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, driver attention warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
