A New Public Park For Salman Town?

A new luxury park in Salman Town is part of a public model that could see impressive features in the area. Here’s what you need to know.

What will it have?

A butterfly garden, marine fish tanks, lots of greenery and bright flowers are all part of the impressive model that could be constructed. The location would be on 114.344sqm plot of land in Salman Town. It could also have multiple services and commercial spots.

Background

The proposal was approved by all 12 members of the Northern Municipal Council. The land belongs to the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry.

Bassem Abu Idris is the area councillor and is behind the proposal. He said the aim is to highlight green spaces in Bahrain.

“This proposal will showcase Salman Town as a tourist destination, especially for GCC nationals, as it is located in close proximity to the King Fahad Causeway.”

Promoting tourism

Bassem Abu Idris says the land already belongs to government and is a planned public garden. This proposal will highlight tourism in the area and given its location near main road, it is the perfect spot for locals too.

More good news

The development of a walkway in Maqaba Block 507 has also been approved and will be a dedicated spot for people to work out. There are no walkways or public park in the area and the addition adds value to the location.
