Active Coronavirus Cases in Bahrain Drops to 4801

According to the Ministry of Health website, the number of active coronavirus cases in Bahrain has dropped to 4801 as of this morning.

Of the active cases, 4756 are stable, 45 are critical and 54 are currently receiving treatment. To date, the ministry has reported 97 deaths due to the outbreak. This follows the death of a 52-year-old Bahraini man who succumbed to the virus this morning. The ministry expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased.

To date, the Ministry of Health has tested 592,350 individuals in the Kingdom including locals, expatriates and those travelling to the Kingdom. Bahrain has implemented several measures to quell the spread of the virus. This includes the systematic sanitisation of public spaces, fining those who do not wear facemasks and extensive contact tracing for active cases.

The public are urged to abide by the measures and support authorities in their effort to fight the coronavirus.
