Bahrain Coronavirus Update - June 18

The death toll due to the coronavirus outbreak in Bahrain has risen to 51 this morning as per the Ministry of Health website.

This follows the death of a 64-year-old male expatriate and 67-year-old male citizen this morning. The patients along with all active COVID-19 cases had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team. All patients continue to receive treatment from the Kingdom's highly trained medical professionals following guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The number of critical active cases is currently 27 out of 5725 active cases. To date the ministry of health has tested 445669 individuals and 14185 individuals have recovered from the virus in the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Health expresses its heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased at this difficult time.
