Bahrain daily Covid-19 cases continue to drop

The number of new daily cases of Covid-19 recorded in Bahrain continues to fall, with just 465 cases recorded yesterday alongside 1,062 recoveries and nine fatalities.

It shows that the stricter measures introduced last month have been strongly vindicated as cases have tumbled, although the Ministry of Health has urged that all protocols and procedures must continue to be followed.

Yesterday’s deaths bring the total fatalities to 1,306.
The ministry said that of the new cases, 244 were expat workers, 220 contacts of local cases and one travel-related.

An additional 1,062 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 253,910. Of the 7,676 active cases, 128 are receiving treatment and 165 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 262,892 cases and conducted 4,911,205 virus tests.

The vaccination drive continues to be a success, with 1,043,787 receiving their first dose and 899,514 receiving their second.
