The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has announced that it has begun taking all necessary preparations to distribute aid for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan to more than four thousand needy families in the Kingdom.
The society has also stressed that it will take all measures to ensure the smooth and easy flow of aid distribution, amid strict application of the precautionary measures followed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Adel Aljar, Head of Social Services Committee, explained that the volunteers of the Society in charge of distributing the aid will be assigned to small teams that work at different times of the day. They will then schedule the names of the beneficiary families and call them to receive the aid from the Society’s headquarters in the diplomatic area.
He said: “The aid that will be distributed before Ramadan will include this year 73 regions in the various governorates, cities and villages of Bahrain, where certain days are allocated to each region to ensure that the distribution process proceeds smoothly.
“All committees of the Society work in an integrated manner on identifying and reaching the actual needy families and meeting their requirements, taking advantage of the long experience of the society with the requirements of needy families over more than forty years.”
The Society called on companies and institutions operating in the country, as well as philanthropists from citizens and residents, to make their donations for the success of the aid program this year.
