Bahraini Citizen Repatriated from Yemen Following Directives by HRH Premier

Bahraini citizen, Saleh Ali Saif, was repatriated safely yesterday evening to Bahrain from Yemen. This followed the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa to reach out to citizens stranded abroad due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and repatriate them safely.

HRH the Premier gave directives in this regard in response to the online plea of the relatives of Mr. Saif who fell sick whilst in Yemen.

The Foreign Ministry coordinated with Bahrain’s Embassy in Riyadh and the Arab Coalition in Support of Legitimacy in Yemen to facilitate the citizen’s repatriation to the Kingdom. A plane was leased to ensure the repatriation of the citizens from Aden International Airport to Bahrain International Airport, including Saleh Ali Saif, who was flown back home safely.

His family extended deepest thanks and gratitude to HRH the Premier for stepping in to facilitate the safe repatriation of their father, hailing his constant keenness on reaching out to his people in all circumstances.

They also thanked officials in HRH the Premier’s Court, the Foreign Ministry, Bahrain’s Embassy in Saudi Arabia for their efforts to facilitate the citizen’s safe return to Bahrain.
