The Bahraini National Pavilion has launched at the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, GITEX Dubai 2020.
It features a gathering of Bahraini technology companies aiming to explore growth opportunities for products and services provided in the post-Covid era, and starting new alliances and partnerships that meet the needs of the Bahraini market in the technical field.
For the 14th year in a row, The Bahraini National Pavilion is being organised by The Bahrain Society for Technology Companies (BTECH) and WorkSmart for Events Management.
Ubaydli Ubaydli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Technology Companies, said that the Bahraini participation at GITEX exhibition reinforces the ICT sector’s keenness to fulfil its responsibilities towards restoring economic activity, especially as it's connected with many other fundamental sectors such as education, work and others.
He said: “Through this participation, we will showcase Bahrain's unique and successful experience to overcome the obstacles imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic in the field of ICT, which helped revive the markets in the Kingdom of Bahrain and considerably contribute to consolidating the efforts exerted to promote tourism and economic activities."
CEO of WorkSmart, Ahmed Al Hujairy, said that organising the Bahraini National Pavilion at GITEX for the 14th year in a row affirms the determination to maintain the presence of the Bahraini ICT sector in this global event despite all challenges, and in a way that contributes to supporting Bahraini private sector institutions working in the field of ICT, supporting them to expand their businesses and improve their profits, in addition to promoting Bahraini entrepreneurs who own technology start-ups, and encouraging them to develop their projects.
He said: “The organisers are keen to do their best to ensure that the participants gain the maximum benefit by obtaining a strategic location for the Pavilion at GITEX, which is witnessing intense global competition to reserve spaces in it. This is in addition to providing all necessary logistical support to exhibitors, as GITEX witnesses the signing of partnerships and supply contracts worth millions of dollars in the ICT sector. It is the only exhibition in the region that provides briefings and communication programs targeting senior executives and top management's employees and provides a unique opportunity to promote the brand image during the most prominent Tech Show in 2020."
