Bahrain’s Family Reconciliation Office Starts Providing Online Services

The Family Reconciliation Office at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments has started providing online services for Bahraini families.

On April 6, the ministry and the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) agreed on automating all procedures by the Family Reconciliation Office to ensure the continuation of its services online. "The automation of the Family Reconciliation Office is based on the keenness of the two parties, the Ministry and the Council, on the importance of continuing the services provided to Bahraini families aimed at achieving its stability," Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa said.

The services will soon be added to the "Mutakatefeen" (In solidarity) application recently launched by SCW to enable families to benefit from the office services. "This is very important in light of the current circumstances that require the containment of social repercussions in order to mitigate risks to families,” HE added.

Supreme Council for Women Secretary-General Hala Al Ansari said that the SCW, through this procedure, continues its efforts to follow up the implementation of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2019-2022), specifically family stability.

"This includes the initiative to develop and improve the services of family reconciliation offices by resolving family disputes amicably and their differences by mutual consent," Al Ansari said..

“The automation of the services of the Family Reconciliation Office will contribute to developing and diversifying the services of the recently announced program 'Your Councilor from a Distance' that provides a host of services, such as family and legal and economic counseling for Bahraini women within the 'Together for the safety of Bahrain' campaign," she explained.

The program was launched by the Council in March to contribute to strengthening joint action among various segments of society within the Team Bahrain spirit and assist women as family breadwinners in order to ensure urgent needs are fulfilled and psychological, social and economic stability are secured as Bahrain confronts the crisis.
