Edamah, the real estate investment arm of Mumtalakat, has decided to temporarily close Bilaj Aljazayer beach until further notice, following the non-compliance of precautionary measures from a number of visitors who attended the beach during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays, of health and safety regulations issued by relevant authorities.
Edamah highlighted the importance of following all health measures, including wearing face masks in public and abiding by social distancing guidelines, to ensure the safety of the community.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Edamah, Amin Alarrayed, reiterated Edamah’s commitment to following precautionary health regulations and support towards national efforts aimed at combating COVID-19, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
Alarrayed added, “Edamah is committed to ensuring our continued cooperation with the Southern Governorate, and we look forward to re-opening the beach soon.” Alarrayad went on to extend his gratitude to the Governor of the Southern Governorate, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, and to the Director General of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, HE Shaikh Col. Abdullah bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
Alarrayed noted that, in coordination with representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the Southern Governorate, leaflets outlining COVID-19 regulations were distributed to all beach visitors, adding that Edamah, in coordination with all relevant authorities, will put in place stricter precautionary measures, in order to tighten security on the beach and deter people who do not comply with the precautionary measures aimed at combating COVID-19.
