The British School of Bahrain (BSB) received a prestigious Independent Schools of the Year Award at its annual award ceremony event in the Law Society on Chancery Lane in the centre of London, UK. The Telegraph Media Group, the publisher of Independent School Parent Magazine, hosted the yearly Independent Schools of the Year Awards, where over 200 of the top schools from around the world gathered at this glamorous event in the centre of London.
Having been shortlisted as a finalist three months ago, the British School of Bahrain proudly represented Bahrain at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards. As the sole school shortlisted from the Kingdom, and one of just three finalists from the Middle East, this achievement was a significant accolade and testament to BSB’s commitment to excellence and global best practice. To the delight of all in attendance, BSB was chosen as the winner of one of the categories, further highlighting the school’s premier position of excellence in education within Bahrain and now globally.
Executive Headmaster, John Maguire, attended the event on Tuesday evening. Mr Maguire commented: “It was wonderful to be shortlisted for such an award, and when I saw the names of the other schools present, I knew that the BSB community should be proud to be in such esteemed company. When they read out the British School of Bahrain’s name, I was delighted that all our hard work and community spirit were recognised by the judges over 3000 miles away. Well done, BSB!”
This award is already the sixth award that BSB has achieved in the last year and the second award given to the school this week. This now makes BSB the most highly decorated school in Bahrain and recognises its position leading education within the Kingdom.
