Confirmed: Pope Francis to Visit Bahrain

Pope Francis is set to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain in November. This is according to reports by the Vatican News which confirmed that the Director of the Holy See Press Office on Wednesday said the Pope had accepted the invitation of the country's civil and ecclesial authorities.

Reuters reports that the 85-year-old pontiff will visit thw Kingdom to take part in the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue: East and West for Human Coexistence.

Pope Francis will be in the country from November 3-6 2022.

Francis visited Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, the first pontiff to visit the Arabian peninsula and say a Mass there.

Reports from Arab News in September say H.E Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent a message to the Pope to invite him to visit the Kingdom of Bahrain.
