Covid-19: Compliance with measures urged before Ramadan

Citizens and residents in Bahrain have been urged to adhere to all safety precautions during the Holy Month as families gather to break their fast.

Despite momentous efforts from various government ministries to curb the spread of Covid-19, the number of new daily cases continues to hover around the 1k mark. Yesterday there were 1,060 new cases registered.

This coincides with 10,984 current active cases, of which 81 are critical and 197 are receiving treatment. There have been 561 deaths.

The vaccination drive continues to be a success, with 565,171 people having had their first dose and 391,300 having had their second.
