F1 To Return to Bahrain in December

F1 CEO Chase Carey has update to fans on the latest developments on the 2020 F1 calendar, including news that the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix is expected to go ahead at the end of the season before the Abu Dhabi finale.

He announced this morning that the French race, due to take place in late June, will not go ahead. The CEO said: “We are now increasingly confident with the progress of our plans to begin our season this summer.

“We’re targeting a start to racing in Europe through July, August and the beginning of September, with the first race taking place in Austria on July 3-5 weekend. September, October and November, would see us race in Eurasia, Asia and the Americas, finishing the season in the Gulf in December with Bahrain before the traditional finale in Abu Dhabi, having completed between 15-18 races.”

He added that the finalized calendar will be made available as soon as possible.
