Health Minister Receives Bahrain Deaf Society Delegation

The Ministry of Health has stressed its keenness on communicating with civil society institutions, especially societies dealing with people with special needs and people of determination to assess their needs and promote health and medical services.

In this regard, Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, yesterday received Bahrain Deaf Society Chairman, Aqueel Ali Hassan, and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary, Dr. Mariam Al-Hajeri.

She was briefed about a visual diagnostic and treatment application that  brings together the doctor and the patient with special needs and people of determination, along with a sign language interpreter to help the two parties to communicate effectively, and obtain the required treatment service from the medical team.

The delegation also outlined the needs of the deaf people as well as proposals and solutions which aim to facilitate the health services which are provided by the ministry.
