The Ministry of Information has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain Polytechnic to boost cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of developing training and academic programmes. The memo also aims to provide students with the needed skills and knowledge in order to take part actively in the labour market and in upgrading the media and communication sector.

Information Ministry Undersecretary, Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Bahar, stressed that signing the memorandum of understanding with Bahrain Polytechnic aims to groom the national media and technical cadres, being the cornerstone of media work and sustainability of the kingdom’s development and civilisational achievements in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He pointed out the ministry’s keenness, under the directives of Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, on boosting partnership with the national colleges and universities to develop human resources in the media and communication sector.

Bahrain Polytechnic Chief Executive, Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, expressed happiness about signing the memo with the Ministry of Information to provide students with the needed skills for the labour market. He stressed that cooperation with a professional public institution, like the Ministry of Information, will groom Bahrain Polytechnic students mainly in the electronic media field.
