Plan to vaccinate National Guard staff hailed a success after completion

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, the National Guard President General, has said that the National Guard has completed its plan to vaccinate its staff.

The vaccination drive according was set by the National Guard medical personnel upon the issuance of the royal directives to provide safe vaccines and make them available free of charge for all citizens and residents.

It achieved all of its targets within the time frame allotted, an achievement which reinforces the spirit of cohesion and solidarity within the nation to overcome the pandemic, Shaikh Mohammed said.

He added that the National Guard has used all its capabilities to implement its plan to vaccinate its staff in order to enhance the efforts of the national medical team to address COVID-19 and limit the spread of the pandemic.

He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Health and the Military Hospital for their great efforts in the national vaccination campaign and for their extensive cooperation with the National Guard in implementing the vaccination plan for its staff.

The announcement comes as Bahrain nears its millionth first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. According to the latest figures, 924,530 have received a first dose and 782,374 have had their second dose.
