The 5th Edition of the Bahrain Food Festival is on now

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) launched the 5th edition of Bahrain Food Festival on Thursday, February 20. The Festival will be held over two periods this year, with the first taking place until February 29, and the second from March 5 to March 14 at Bahrain Bay.  

Speaking about the 5th edition of the Bahrain Food Festival, CEO of BTEA, Mr. Nader Al Moayyed said: “We aim to offer visitors of all ages the ultimate experience by hosting a variety of activities, entertainment, musical performances, competitions and dedicated play areas for children. We are delighted to be supporting promising and innovative local ventures in Bahrain by providing them with the ideal platform to introduce their concepts to a wide audience.”

There are over 200 participating food vendors split across two periods

The festival will feature a creative and diverse selection of vendors, ranging from healthy and organic food, to street food and gastronomic delicacies. This includes everything from pastries to ice cream, burgers to brisket, seafood to dumplings and more! A list of all participating restaurants can be found on the Bahrain Food Festival app.

The event includes fun activities, over 150 live acts and family-friendly entertainment
This year’s edition will be held in an even larger space, divided into several sections including a children’s educational play area, Candy Land, a traditional village which will offer local food and live cooking stations, fun competitions, musical performances with over 150 live acts on stage throughout the duration of the festival. 

The festival runs on weekends and weekdays too
The food festival will take place every Sunday to Wednesday from 4pm to 11pm and Thursday to Saturday from 4pm to 12am (midnight).

There is a free bus shuttle service, apart from a valet service
You don’t have to worry about the crowd or walking between the festival and parking lots thanks to the addition of a free bus shuttle service. Alternatively, you can make use of the festival’s valet service.

The festival includes a traditional corner
You can find delicious local cuisine, fresh local produce and even watch Bahraini Halwa being made right before your eyes!
