The visit to Bahrain of Nobel Peace Prize

A delegation of four Nobel Peace Prize Laureates visited the Kingdom of Bahrain this past week at the invitation of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister. The visit was organized by Jonathan Granoff, who heads the Global Security Institute and has represented the International Peace Institute at the Nobel Peace Laureate Summits in Rome every year since 2002.

The four Nobel Peace Laureates who spent four days in Bahrain and were granted an audience by the Prime Minister were: HE Mr. F.W. de Klerk, the former president of South Africa; HE Mr. Lech Walesa, the former president of Poland; HE Mr. Jose Ramos-Horta, the former president of East Timor and HE Mr. Kailash Satyarthy, the children’s rights activist from India.
