Camelot Restaurant and Lounge, located in Adliya’s Block 338, is known for its enchanting ambiance and sophisticated culinary offerings. This vibrant restaurant has now added a scrumptious Friday brunch to their fabulous dining experiences. The Bahrain This Month team indulged in their divine culinary offerings to find out exactly what makes it special.

At this brunch, you can expect a wide range of starters, salads, appetisers, mains and desserts served right at your table! It’s quite convenient to keep the conversation going. Smooth tunes courtesy of the DJ and Bongo player will keep you grooving and moving.

To begin, we were served an assortment of freshly baked bread accompanied by a selection of homemade jams. Each jam offered a unique flavour profile—ranging from the tartness of berry blends to the sweet, mellow notes of apricot.

Next came the Caesar Salad, a dish that exemplified the perfect balance of freshness and flavour. Crisp Romaine lettuce leaves were generously coated with a creamy, tangy dressing. The salad was adorned with crunchy croutons and delicious parmesan.

The Seafood Ceviche was a standout dish among the starters – a vibrant mix of shrimp, scallops, and fish marinated in a zesty citrus dressing that served as a refreshing palate cleanser. The ceviche was garnished with finely chopped cilantro, red onion, and slices of avocado, adding layers of flavour and colour. Each bite was a perfect harmony of tart citrus, fresh seafood, and subtle heat from a hint of chili, encapsulating the essence of coastal cuisine.

The curated charcuterie board offered a variety of local and imported cheeses to provide a wide range of flavours and textures. From soft, creamy brie to sharp, tangy cheddar, and robust blue cheese, the selection was comprehensive. Honey, nuts, and fruit complemented the cheeses perfectly.

The bruschetta were a nod to traditional Italian cuisine. Toasted slices of baguette were topped with a fresh mix of diced tomatoes, basil, garlic, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. Each bite was a delightful combination of crunch and juiciness, making it a thoroughly enjoyable starter.

If you love your fair share of finger foods, you’ll enjoy the potato and cheese croquettes. These were beautifully crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside, they were filled with a rich mixture of mashed potatoes and cheese. Served with a tangy dipping sauce, they were indulgent without being too heavy.

The Spaghetti Pomodoro is perfect for pasta-lovers! The al dente pasta was tossed in a flavourful tomato sauce, with rich flavours of garlic and fresh basil – just decadent. Grated parmesan made this a truly satisfying dish.

For the main course, the Grilled Beef Tenderloin was a highlight. Cooked to perfection, the tenderloin was succulent and juicy, with a beautifully seared crust that added a delightful texture. The meat was seasoned with a blend of herbs and spices that enhanced its natural flavours. The Chicken Cajun was perfectly cooked – juicy with that familiar Cajun seasoning spiciness.

The Baked Fish with Lemon Cream Sauce was perfectly baked to perfection, flaking easily with a fork. The velvety lemon cream sauce added a perfect balance of acidity and creaminess. This dish was light yet satisfying, ideal for those who enjoy a more refined flavour profile.

Ending the brunch on a sweet note, we tucked into a delightful Sticky Toffee Pudding which was moist with an addictive caramel flavour. It was served warm, with a generous drizzle of toffee sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream – just delicious!

Whether for a special occasion or a casual day out, Camelot’s brunch is sure to be one you can’t miss in Bahrain!
