Dr. Paul Walton, Nadeen School Principal | Fostering the Leaders of Tomorrow

Established in 1978, Nadeen School is a beacon of educational excellence, providing a caring and nurturing environment for students through high-quality holistic education. Nadeen School Principal, Dr. Paul Walton, gives a deeper insight into this vibrant, warm and exciting community that focuses on children first, always.

With a current enrolment of nearly 700 students representing more than 60 nationalities, Nadeen School’s commitment to fostering a multicultural community enriching students’ experiences is evident each and every single day. This environment creates unique opportunities for progressive education, hands-on learning and celebrates the achievements of all students.  It is a school that promotes and lives by adopting a growth mindset, enabling students to explore and grow to have a positive impact on the world.  With a rich variety of extracurricular activities, environmental events, awareness days and much more, it is more than just a school.

“A strength of our community is how families are welcomed into our school; students make friendships and are supported and cared for by our wonderful group of teachers. Our families and students at Nadeen play an incredible role in welcoming new joiners.” says Dr. Walton.

Central to Nadeen School’s educational philosophy is its innovative curriculum. “It is balanced and broad throughout the Early Years, Primary and Secondary School phases. Including an adapted version from the English National Curriculum framework, with IPC (International Primary Curriculum) thematic, creative units leading through to IGCSEs and starting A levels,” he states.

A New State-of-the-Art Campus
In August 2023, Nadeen School relocated to a state-of-the-art campus in Dilmunia, signalling a new era of educational excellence.

“A 25m swimming pool, training pool and 980sqm sports hall – ensures that sports is accessible to all of our students year-long” Dr. Walton explains. “Our ‘Sports for All’ approach includes offering a variety of different sports after school clubs as well as team and squad training for our students who compete during national, regional and international fixtures.”

“In addition to sports facilities such as a football pitch, running track, multi-use games court and climbing structures, Nadeen School’s campus features dedicated spaces for the arts, STEM and culinary arts.  Students have access to a range of premium resources and equipment to explore their creative passions and talents.”

Nadeen School takes pride in recognising and celebrating the achievements of its students, whether in academics, music, sports or community service. Recent accomplishments include international music awards, an outstanding performance in English and Mathematics assessments, and impressive victories in various international sports competitions. Students as individuals and in teams, gaining a range of prestigious awards throughout the past nine months demonstrates that students are not only competing, but are ultimately successful against the very best in the region.

From its award-winning pastoral care programme to its supportive, dedicated and professional team of staff, the school instils in students a sense of purpose, resilience and ambition.

“Whilst learning is, and always will be, our main focus in our philosophy, our aim is to ensure that each and every student has a balanced, happy and fulfilling learning experience throughout their time with us so that they can achieve to the very best of their abilities, in whatever they do. We have an amazing team of staff throughout the school and because of their passion, energy and dedication, we have a wonderful atmosphere each and every single day at school. They amaze me with their commitment to making a difference to the lives of all of our students. This creates the perfect climate for our fantastic students to learn, be curious and have fun.” he concludes.
