The American University of Bahrain (AUBH), is the Kingdom’s first American-style University offering a holistic academic journey for students.
AUBH’s approach to education is unique; in that it fosters interaction and collaboration between its students, faculty, and the professional community.
The university’s unique curricula is based on best-practices from highly acclaimed US colleges and universities, with handpicked faculty comprising local and international teachers and researchers in their respective fields. The tailored curriculum is experiential, interactive and entrepreneurial, with the aim of creating work-ready graduates who can transition seamlessly from academia to application.
Anticipating the demand for STEM professionals to rise over the next 10 years, AUBH is proactively responding to this need through our STEM-based programming.
Students are provided with the tools they need to be successful and give them real-world experience to promote critical thinking and dynamism. They experience internships, field trips, speaker series events, and lectures from industry leaders. Recently, the university welcomed H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who delivered a lecture to students on campus.
The University offers the various programmes within its colleges of Engineering, Business and Management, and Architecture and Design. Its recent alliance with CSUN, the largest university system in the US, enables students to gain access to degree programmes in over 69 disciplines. Through this partnership, students can begin studying at AUBH while taking general education courses, a common core in the curriculum, and then seamlessly transfer to CSUN after one to three years of studies.
The institute is in the process of developing opportunities for visiting professorships, industry collaborations, and internship between Bahrain and the United States.
AUBH’s campus is always alive with a host of leisure and extra-curricular activities to create unique spaces for the AUBH community to interact, learn, and grow as individuals.
