It’s a coming-of-age movie which acknowledges several challenges that women all around the world face including the need to meet impossible beauty standards and being underrepresented. The movie also significantly addresses the effects of patriarchy. At the end of the day, Barbie is an eye-opener which will leave women of all ages feeling inspired and, more importantly, understood.
