This Mango Smoothie Bowl is our go-to recipe this summer!

Summer is, quite literally, just getting warmed up with temperatures slowly but surely soaring in Bahrain. With us having to stay indoors even more, we’ve had a chance to get creative in the kitchen and come up with healthy and refreshing recipes. 

With mangoes currently in season, and a host of them available on the market, we tried our twist on the classic smoothie bowl and… it was such a treat! 

3 cups ripe mangoes, diced and previously frozen
1 ripe nectarine, cored and sliced
1 banana, sliced
1 box of blueberries
1 tbsp shredded coconut
1 tsp chia seeds
2 tbsps honey
Fresh mint leaves to garnish.

  1. Blend the mangoes and honey together till smooth. You can use a splash of water for your preferred consistency.
  2. Pour equal parts of the mango mix into two bowls.
  3. Top the mixture with the sliced banana, blueberries and nectarine. Sprinkle the coconut, chia seeds and mint on top, and enjoy!
