Nadeen School, established in 1977, is well known for its child-centred, holistic approach to education. Nadeen School, which is rated as “Outstanding” by the Bahrain Quality Authority (BQA), is a founding member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) and an accredited British School Overseas school (BSO) recognised by the British Government and British Department for Education.

It is also Bahrain’s only inclusive school where all children are celebrated for their unique talents and abilities. The school truly believes that being welcoming and accepting of all children makes for a better schooling and community experience for all. Currently, 400 children (aged two to 11 years) are enrolled in classes from Pre-Nursery to Year 6. The school is truly international with over 50 nationalities represented within its population.

To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and mark the occasion at the new campus, the Student Construction Crew and Deputy Ambassador from the British Embassy planted trees at the new site as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy campaign.

After years of popular demand to expand, the school will be moving to a new, purpose-built campus in the heart of Dilmunia and extending over time to become a through-school up to Year 13 next year. The new building will house state-of-the-art facilities for sports, science, design and technology, music, drama and performance, and art. Large outdoor play areas and learning terraces will provide a natural learning environment.

There will also be amazing opportunities for extra-curricular activities, training facilities, and community engagement. The campus will also incorporate elements from the existing school: the original climbing frame from 1980, mud kitchens and fairy garden, and the tree houses, gardens, and farm areas…and its trademark “small school – big family” motto.
